It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Steve Wilson, the beloved Site Administrator at Fort Osage National Landmark from 1999-2013. During his 14-year tenure with Jackson County, Steve was admired, respected, and active in all aspects of the Fort’s operation. An avid historian and outdoorsman who enjoyed music, Steve continued to be a valued volunteer and frequent visitor of the Fort after he left Jackson County Parks + Rec. Steve will be missed by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
