Ladies’ Academy Workshop
On August 6, 2022, Fort Osage National Landmark in Sibley, Missouri,
will host its second Ladies’ Academy workshop, from 9:00 a.m. –
1:00 p.m.
Candlelight Tour of Fort Osage
Experience how the holidays were celebrated at the historic Fort in the early 19th century. Interpreters will bring the season to life during this guided candlelight tour. Enjoy seasonal beverages, snacks and other holiday-themed activities in the Education Center before or after your tour. Advance reservations are recommended as tickets are limited. The first tour will begin at 5:00 pm, with tours continuing every 20 minutes until 9:00 pm. Guests are advised to dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes.

See how men, women, and children formed a frontier community that had military and commercial connections to global events and trade. Hear military music along with the commands and orders of officers to soldiers as they go about their day and bring the past to life.
Haunted History – A Paranormal Investigation at Fort Osage
Do the ghosts of historic Fort Osage still walk the grounds? You be the judge! Join us for an exclusive after-hours experience to see if the Fort’s former residents have something to say. Paranormal investigators will lead visitors through this national landmark in search of former residents.
3rd Annual Discover Fort Osage!
Come out and discover all that is Fort Osage! This family-friendly event is filled with music, storytelling, walking tours, tomahawk throwing, cannon firing, and historic crafts, and games of the period. Explore the unique cultures and history behind this National Historic Landmark!
