Fort Osage National Historic Landmark has reopened to the public after being closed to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Although Fort Osage has reopened, masks and social distancing are required when you visit the site. To safeguard against the spread of COVID-19, Fort Osage National Historic Landmark will be CLOSED through May 15, 2020. All events, programs, field trips, workshops and classes at Fort Osage National Historic Landmark, are cancelled through May 15, 2020. John Peterson, Fort Osage Curator, and Archaeologist, has left Fort Osage National Historic Landmark for a job at the Missouri State Museum in Jefferson City, Missouri.
